Project impact

CEFSER contributions could be summarized as follows:

Upgrading the RTD capacities and capabilities of Faculty of Technology by:
unlocking all our research potential and setting-up the strategic partnerships with the excellent research entities elsewhere in the EU
and consequently improving the possibilities to participate in FP7 projects and for the better integration in ERA as a whole
Faculty of Technology will contribute to the regional capacity building by:
motivating and stimulating the participation of WBC researchers in our meetings
creating of the database on the existing regional experts and projects dealing with the relevant issues, to make them more visible to the wider scientific community
increasing the awareness among target users/stakeholder groups on the impact of industrial competitiveness, application of harmonized methodology and legislation approach valid through the EU food industry

Furthermore, the involvement of CEFSER in the FOOD CLUSTER initiative will have impact on the networking of the regional food sector with the relevant main streams in EU.

And last but not least, through enabling the establishment of the links within the regional research efforts we would like to promote peaceful cooperation between the countries in the region defining common areas of stability and to contribute to the wider social integration (not just scientific) of the Western Balkan area that could be regarded as one of the most heterogeneous area of Europe, where the cultural and religious differences still divide the populations living across the newly drawn borderlines.

Impact on specific problems faced by Serbia will be:

the establishment of a modern centre for food safety and risk assessment at Faculty of Technology, with a focus on emerging pollutants, which will
make Faculty of Technology and Serbia internationally validated, with the
vision to raise the awareness of the national regulatory bodies and the consumers as well, and eventually contributing to the well being of all
